and full of self-doubt, here is I, Mimi Li: an artist who cannot stop writing, thinking, and asking questions. I was born into a house of realist/ impressionist artists, breathed paint-thinner air as a child, and grew up with the intense ambition to become a great artist. Whether becoming the great artist is determined by beings outside of her head, or the sheer material fact, she does not know. Mimi Li bought an academic education to validate self-learning. Grown from a hardworking and creative household, she bridges critical thinking and creative solutions. Her in-depth experience in new media, broadcasting, commercial art and non-profit sectors defines her as a versatile leader and teammate. From behind the scenes, to the visual surface, she is a driven, self-starter that helped launch a television production company, and represented the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach on CBC radio and MuchMusic on behalf of her peers. She is active in underground artist and music communities. With her ability to relate to all types of characters and disciplines, her strength is a confident, but humble personality.
